Babah-go-Round

Up, down, sideways, hop! What can all things round do? How does it look, sound, smell and feel?

Babah-Go-Round is a theatrical experience for babies (4-12 months and 1-2 years old) and their caregivers.

By combining objects and classical music, we explore the earth's elements all around,

capturing the imagination of the little ones according to their own developmental milestones.

Free State Arts Festival 2019
Nominated for Best Youth Theatre Debut

"Babah-go-Round! Amazing!!!

Well done PuppeTrix! Art and stimulation beautifully integrates in this performance. I don't know who enjoyed it most, Klara or myself. Highly recommendable as an Occupational Therapist and mommy." - Chante Olivier

“Today we attended baby theatre. I was so curious about how this experience would be and couldn’t wait. We were hosted by the lovely Schoemé Grobler from PuppeTrix at the Free State Arts Festival. It honestly was one of the weirdest things I have ever experienced. Weird in a good way, a very good way. We were 7 moms with our babies, all below 1 year old, as well as some other observers. Some of the babies could walk, crawl and sit. We all sat inside a tent on the floor on cushions. The show was something out of this world. The artists used movement, music, everyday objects, light and sound effects to entertain and entice the babies. Not one single word was said throughout the entire show. The children were mesmerized, sitting quietly looking and listening to these talented people. It was as if they were all hypnotized by these people speaking in a language that only they could understand. Alana had had a very fussy day, going through a growth spurt. At the show, she was so enticed by the stimulation, she did not even wince. Her little face lit up with all the different sounds and movements. I honestly have never seen her be so still and entertained in her 4 months of life. I hope they do private home shows at 3am. This was honestly an experience I won’t soon forget. Do yourself and your baby a favor and get tickets for their show. Instill some love for the theatre and broaden your little one’s horizons.”
