Babah
Babah, created in 2018, is PuppeTrix’s first
production for babies. This performance is a multi-sensory experience for babies and their caregivers. Objects and music capture the imagination of the little ones according to their own developmental milestones. Baby will meet African animals,
hear African sounds and even see, feel and smell a beautiful African Sunrise. With this very first theatre encounter, the babies’ reactions reveal an everlasting truth:
theatre is important for all ages.

"What a wonderful moment when art meets passion and purpose!
The PuppeTrix production, Babah, was such an amazing experience it needs to be celebrated.
As a speech and language therapist (my passion) and a mommy (my purpose) I could not get enough of the wonderful way the artists made use of language and intonation patterns to stimulate and mesmerize these little ones. Stimulating language development in the first 1000 days is so important as it has been proven that language is the best predictor of academic success in children! Well done, PuppeTrix, I was truly inspired and am looking forward to what you come up with next."

“It was Elise’s first theatre experience and she was kept mesmerized throughout the whole 30 mins of the show!
The show was performed in a dimly lit room with comfortable setting in the form of a pop-up tent and cushions strewn all over the floor. It almost felt like we were watching the show at Schoemé’s home.” - @daprayer - Dawn
